  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon sugar for swirling

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
  3. Stir in the melted butter until well combined.
  4. Add the baking soda and salt, then mix in the sugar, egg, and vanilla extract.
  5. Finally, stir in the flour until just incorporated; do not overmix.
  6. Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  7. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar over the batter.
  8. Pour the remaining batter on top and then add the rest of the cinnamon sugar.
  9. Swirl the batter lightly with a knife to create a marbled effect.
  10. Bake for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  11. Allow the bread to cool for a few minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.
