  • 1/2 cup coffee liqueur
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups mascarpone cheese
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 package ladyfinger cookies
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Gently fold in the mascarpone and vanilla extract.
  5. In a separate bowl, whip the cream until stiff peaks form and gently fold it into the mascarpone mixture.
  6. Dip the ladyfingers in the espresso and liqueur mixture and layer them in the baking sheet.
  7. Spread a layer of the mascarpone cream over the ladyfingers.
  8. Repeat the layers until ingredients are used up, finishing with the cream.
  9. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  10. Before serving, dust with cocoa powder.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of cinnamon to the cream.
  • Serve with whipped cream on the side.
