- 1 cup brewed espresso
- 1/2 cup coffee liqueur
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 cups mascarpone cheese
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 package ladyfinger cookies
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Gently fold in the mascarpone and vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whip the cream until stiff peaks form and gently fold it into the mascarpone mixture.
- Dip the ladyfingers in the espresso and liqueur mixture and layer them in the baking sheet.
- Spread a layer of the mascarpone cream over the ladyfingers.
- Repeat the layers until ingredients are used up, finishing with the cream.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Before serving, dust with cocoa powder.
