Ground Beef and Potatoes Casserole

A delicious and easy-to-make casserole that combines ground beef, potatoes, and cheese for a comforting family meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 4 cups sliced potatoes
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat and drain excess fat.
  3. Add the chopped onion and cook until softened.
  4. In a bowl, mix cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  5. Layer the sliced potatoes in a greased casserole dish.
  6. Add the beef and onion mixture on top of the potatoes.
  7. Pour the soup mixture over the layers.
  8. Cover with shredded cheese.
  9. Bake for 1 hour until potatoes are tender.

Notes

  • This casserole can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator.
  • Feel free to add other vegetables to the mix.
