Homemade Hamburger Helper

A comforting and easy-to-make dish that combines turkey bacon and chicken ham for a quick weeknight meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 cup chicken ham, diced
  • 2 cups elbow macaroni
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy, then remove and crumble.
  2. In the same skillet, brown the ground turkey.
  3. Add chicken ham, macaroni, chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 15 minutes until pasta is cooked.
  5. Stir in the shredded cheese and crumbled bacon until melted.

Notes

  • For a creamier texture, add a splash of cream or milk towards the end of cooking.
