Unstuffed Peppers

A quick and easy recipe for unstuffed peppers that the whole family will love!

Ingredients

  • 4 bell peppers
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove the seeds.
  3. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat.
  4. Add the cooked rice, diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the skillet.
  5. Mix well and cook for about 5 minutes.
  6. Stuff the mixture into the bell peppers.
  7. Place the stuffed peppers in a baking dish and cover with foil.
  8. Bake for 30 minutes, then uncover and sprinkle cheese on top.
  9. Bake for an additional 10 minutes until the cheese is melted.

Notes

  • This dish can be made ahead of time and reheated.
  • Feel free to use turkey or chicken instead of beef.
